Testimonials

"I am proud to own two beautiful works by this most talented Glaswegian artist. I highly recommend his work, especially portraiture. He was able to use two photographs of mine and make them into cherished pieces of art. Well done, Mark!

I live in America and do not hesitate to call upon him when I need portraits painted of my beautiful granddaughters. He is currently working on another. I live in Virginia USA near the Chesapeake Bay. Since my granddaughter is a Virginian, I asked Mark if he would add some local flavor to the portrait in the way of a Chesapeake Bay Blue Crab. He had no idea what one looked liked, but he researched it and did an excellent job adding it to the beach scene. That was above and beyond!

His work is excellent and affordable.

Thank you so much, Mark.

Carol"

Walking in Nethy Bridge

" Having seen some of Mark's work on Facebook I thought a commission would be the perfect gift for my husband's birthday. I selected a photo which I thought would make a beautiful pencil drawing and had wonderful memories. I sent Mark the photo and after a brief chat I waited patiently for the finished result. To say I was utterly delighted is an absolute understatement! The drawing is just beautiful and captures the moment in the photograph perfectly. My husband was delighted with his gift. I can highly recommend Mark as an artist. His work is just beautiful and if you’re looking for a personalised gift, a commission would make a wonderful and thoughtful gift."

"I saw Mark's Facebook page and took a wild chance on commissioning him to do a very personal piece of art for me from a photo I had taken.
I really wasn’t sure what to expect as other than Facebook, I hadn’t done any research.
When Mark arrived with the work I couldn’t believe how perfectly he had captured my characters. It made me cry.
If you are considering having any art work, please consider Mark as your artist.
In my opinion he is a genius!
Thank you Mark!"

Father and Sons

"I commissioned the painting ‘My Campsies’ for my mum's 80th Birthday. I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted so Mark helped me through the process. He sent me away to think about the particular view that was in my mind and he also spent time capturing images of the Campsies. We eventually got the location and I just trusted Mark to get to work. I didn’t know him, just knew I was able to trust him from the pictures on his various sites.

When I arrived and finally met him and was shown ‘My Campsies’ I was delighted. I had asked for warm pinks/purples and the final painting was exactly what I hoped for.

I would definitely recommend Mark and would ask for his help again. He seems warm and passionate about his work and I found that really great. His paintings all seem to be alive. Every time we look at 'My Campsies' there is something new to see. We love it!!!

Thanks Mark. A unique 80th birthday present which my mum was overwhelmed with."

"Mark did a commission for me for my Dad’s 70th birthday, a beautiful painting of my late Grandfather. We are blown away by it and feel so proud that we have this unique painting now in the family forevermore. Mark was interested in my Grandad and asked questions about him, making the whole experience really enjoyable and personal. Mark is unbelievably gifted and I cannot wait to have something else painted by him!!"

"I worked with Mark this summer to provide a visual arts programme for children of NHS keyworkers. Mark is incredibly organised. The 2 and 3 dimensional activities he designed were smart, accessible and fun. His teaching manner is professional, friendly and down to earth, the children and staff really engaged with him. The children developed good creative and artistic skills. At times Mark had to respond to change and challenging circumstances, he adapted his delivery and workshop content well ensuring everyone had the same quality of experience. I'd highly recommend this tutor for work with children and adults."
